How to view videos files and DVD discs?

How to view DVD, Video and Audio Files (AVI, MP4, SWF, FLV, MKV, MP3, WAV, AIFF, etc...) on your Computer.

We highly recommend Media Player Classic or VLC Media Player software.  Both are free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays MOST multimedia files (ALL common video and audio file formats) as well as DVDs, Blu-ray, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.  They are also one of the best and extremely light-weight media player for your computer.

Sometime you will encounter playing video files without any pictures but you only hear audio sound.  That is because some video files are recorded using a special encoder.  You will need to install the correct CODEC decoder driver to view the video file.  If this is the case, download and install the K-Lite Codec Pack FullVersion below:
